Interdisciplinary system design & management

From first questions to a confident handoff.

We design and manage complex systems that span disciplines. We connect hardware, software, infrastructure, and operating workflows, working through the interfaces and dependencies that determine how the whole system behaves.

Interdisciplinary design

Translate goals and constraints into a complete system architecture. Bring physical components, software, infrastructure, and human workflows into a coordinated design.

Integration & coordination

Define interfaces, dependencies, and responsibilities across disciplines and providers. Evaluate changes against the behavior and requirements of the complete system.

System management

Keep the system understood as it evolves through operating guidance, change coordination, troubleshooting, and maintained documentation.

A clear path through the project

Good decisions at every stage.

Agree on the scope, deliverables, and responsibilities before each phase begins. Design and bid support can come first, with implementation review and handoff when the project proceeds.

  1. 01

    Understand

Review the space, existing equipment, operating needs, and constraints. Identify what can be reused and what needs verification.

  2. 02

    Design

Develop system flows, equipment schedules, interface requirements, and a coordinated scope around the selected approach.

  3. 03

    Compare

Help suppliers quote a common scope. Review exclusions, substitutions, and lead times so you can make an informed decision.

  4. 04

    Review

Coordinate provider submittals, review commissioning evidence, and track agreed functions and outstanding corrections.

  5. 05

    Hand off

Reconcile vendor records with the system overview and operating guidance, then organize the documentation for your team.

The integrated handoff

One reference for the whole system.

The documentation should be useful long after installation. We bring the design intent, provider records, and operating procedures together so your staff and future service providers can understand the system.

  • An index and revision history make current information easy to find.
  • Missing records and unresolved items stay visible until closeout.
  • Authorized support updates the same reference as the system changes.

Illustrative package contents

Deliverables are tailored to the agreed scope. This example does not represent a completed customer project.

  1. 01

    System overview & signal flows

How components, software, infrastructure, and operating workflows connect and depend on one another.

  2. 02

    Equipment & connection records

Equipment schedules, vendor as-built drawings, port records, and cable schedules.

  3. 03

    Operating & recovery guides

Startup, everyday use, shutdown, and common troubleshooting steps.

  4. 04

    Configuration & closeout records

Available backups, test results, training materials, warranties, and support contacts.

Readable documents, available editable sources, and configuration backups. Administrative credentials are transferred separately through a secure method.

Independent guidance.
Clear responsibilities.

You retain purchasing and acceptance decisions and contract directly with your selected equipment and installation providers. Design services are scoped separately from equipment purchases.

Lisko Labs coordinates system intent, interfaces, design documentation, and agreed implementation reviews. Suppliers and qualified contractors remain responsible for their installation, specialist work, commissioning, and accurate as-built records.

Implementation, ongoing management, and support are scoped around the system and your team, with responsibilities agreed alongside your existing providers.

Meet the people behind the lab

Applications include integrated hardware and software, automation, monitoring, infrastructure, and audiovisual systems. The common thread is the design and management of the complete system, across its technical and operational boundaries.
